Ubuntu Youth Project
Alexandria served as the lead artist for Wheelock College's Juvenile Justice Ubuntu Arts program at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Boston's South End Neighborhood. Together, Alexandria and the middle school students at St. Stephen's created a performative gallery installation about "Violence, Culture & Family" that combined movement, sound, poetry and theater. The work, which discussed the students' black and Dominican roots, their experiences in their neighborhoods and aspirations for the future, was presented to an audience of 200 people at Wheelock's Towne Art Gallery on April 12, 2016.
